BBS were pleased to have been awarded the contract from Andrew Shepherd Construction to remove the existing rooflights and install the new BBS Mk8 mono-pitch glass rooflights with electric opening panels at Andover Primary School, Brechin, Angus.
The BBS Mk8 system is a high spec versatile aluminium glazing system utilising thermally broken extruded aluminium glazing section incorporating integral drainage outlet channels, the system is also tested man-safe ACR[M]001: 2011 Class “B” and to meet non-fragile TN 66/67 requirements (details on request).

Structure:
BBS concealed fix glazing system comprising extruded thermally broken semi-structural aluminium glazing bar at 705mm centres incorporating integral secondary water management system and fitted with high performance EPDM gaskets. Associated aluminium flashings as required. Unit to fix to felted/flashed kerb upstand “by others”
Glazing:
Double glazed sealed units comprising 6mm clear toughened outer, 16mm argon gas cavity and 6.4mm Low-E laminate inner secured to frames with extruded aluminium pressure plates fitted with high performance EPDM gaskets and secret fix snap on capping. Bays above fire compartment walls to be glazed with Supalux fire resistant panels. Glazing units to achieve an overall u/value of 1.4 W/m2K.
Paint Finish:
All exposed aluminium surfaces polyester powder coated to RAL3011 Brown/Red.
