BBS have been awarded the contract to install 14 No 5.3m x 1.3m mono-pitch
glass rooflights for the LEC atrium contract at Lancaster University.
Following close consultation with the design team regarding certain design requirements for the rooflights the rooflights were eventually designed based on the BBS Mk8 CWCT TN66/67 tested & certified class 1 option.
Structure:
BBS Mk8concealed fix glazing system comprising extruded thermally broken structural aluminium glazing bars set at appropriate glazing centres to meet the parameters of the CWCT TN66/67 tested system. Glazing bars incorporating the BBS integral secondary water management system, fitted with high performance EPDM gaskets. Associated aluminium flashings as required. Unit to fix to flashed kerb upstand “by others”

Double glazed sealed units comprising 8mm toughened outer with Cool-lite SKN165 coating offering G-Value 0.33, 16mm argon filled cavity, 8.8mm clear Low-E laminate inner certified and tested to CWCT TN66/67 Class 1, glass secured to frames with extruded aluminium pressure plates fitted with high performance EPDM gaskets and secret fix snap on capping.
